Leslie Macfarlane
She was raised in Roberts Creek, BC and later, in Gibsons. Currently, she's living in Surrey but will be moving within a few months (possibly back to Gibsons). She was one of the original members of the Sechelt Festival of the Written Arts in the 1980s with Betty Keller and numerous other Sunshine Coast writers. She worked for the Reporter Newspaper in Sechelt from 1998 to 2001 and won third in the Ma Murray Community Newspaper Awards for Arts & Culture in 2001. Her passion is dark fiction/horror and her first novel Farn's Syndrome is set in Roberts Creek. She's working on a sequel which is also set on the Sunshine Coast.
