KB Nelson is a Rhysling-nominated writer of poetry and speculative fiction. A graduate of Simon Fraser University’s Southbank Writer’s Program, she has won awards in both poetry and short fiction including the 2017 Cedric Literary Award for poetry. Her poems have appeared in over two dozen journals and anthologies and her chapbook Muse of Natural History was published in June 2021. She and her husband moved to West Sechelt from the lower mainland in 2020.

KB has previously resided on Vancouver Island, in Ontario, New Brunswick, Yukon, Alberta, Arizona and New Zealand. She is a retired health care worker, aspiring pianist and the mother of two grown sons. She uses the Oxford comma only when necessary for clarity. KB Nelson is a pseudonym.
