Salt Spring has enjoyed his talents on local stages and in outdoor summer productions. Chris’ books have been translated into thirteen languages, and include The French Executioner, the 2002 runner-up for the UK’s CWA Steel Dagger for Thrillers. More recently, Plague won the 2015 ‘Arthur Ellis’: Canada’s Crime Writers’ Association Best Crime Novel Award. As well as his numerous historical fiction novels, Chris is also the author of six books for young adults: The Runestone Saga (three books) and The Tapestry Trilogy beginning with The Hunt of the Unicorn – which is one of the ‘wooden books’ on display up high in the Salt Spring library! He has also penned the adult high epic fantasy series Immortals’ Blood beginning with, Smoke in the Glass. He presented at the Sunshine Coast Festival of Written Arts, Sechelt in 2013.
