She has lived in many different locales in Canada since childhood. After graduating from York University in Toronto she worked for many years at the Canadian Press, and settled on Saltspring Island in 1992. Her book, Gotta Find Me An Angel was a finalist for the Amazon.ca/Books In Canada Award and Ferro-Grumley Award, and long-listed for the Lambda and Relit Awards. Her work has been anthologized in Canada, U.S. and U.K.
